exteriorThe Main Lodge complements its natural setting with square timber, post and beam construction, and high open ceilings.
restaurantDining at Buffalo Mountain Lodge is a delicious departure from the ordinary as celebrated by the local and international media for the introduction of Rocky Mountain Cuisine. The meat is from Game Farm Ranche where Bison, Caribou, and Elk are raised. Smoked, cured or roasted wild game, fresh indigenous berries, wild fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and mixed grains are artfully assembled and professionally served. A restaurant called Cilantros that is on the property features lighter Californian Cuisine.
roomsAll guest rooms at the hotel have balconies or patios (except one bedroom suites), wood burning fieldstone fireplaces and private baths. Room amenities include feather duvets and pillows, telephones, cable televisions, in-room coffee makers, clock radios, iron/ironing boards and hair dryers. All rooms have an exterior entrance. Premier Rooms offer VCR's with complimentary movies available at the front desk. All Premier Rooms also feature our upgraded bathrooms with heated slate floors and an old fashion claw foot bath tub.
locationBuffalo Mountain Lodge is located on Tunnel Mountain Road, in Banff, Alberta. The lodge is located on 9 acres of wooded land, with beautiful mountain views. Buffalo Mountain Lodge is a short two minute drive from the main street in Banff, and a short 20 minute walk. Banff is located just off the Trans Canada Highway, and is only a 1 1/2 hour drive from the Calgary International Airport. Access to neighboring attractions such as Lake Louise (56km) and Emerald Lake (94km) is excellent.
