The lobby is medium in size and offers several seating areas leading off reception. Decorated in keeping with the historic age of hotel.
exterior
This is a traditional white-wash hotel with lantern and flower baskets. It was built in the 15th century and it has been a bishop's house, a convent and, since 1870, a hotel. The hotel also has a private patio and garden with a seating area.
restaurant
The restaurant is located in a conservatory area with glass windows overlooking the walled gardens. Serving a variety of English and continental dishes using local produce and seasonal specials.
rooms
Each of the 75 bedrooms are en-suite offering colour TV with satellite channels, courtesy tray to make your own tea & coffee, hairdryer, trouser press, direct telephone. Nice clean and modern decor keeping in design with the historic building.
location
The hotel is located just a hundred yards from the town centre, in a quiet backwater. The hotel is close to the famous cathedral and Winchester's most historic attractions.
