generalThe hotel is well-appointed with the concept "Japanese modern aesthetic" thoroughly from the entrance to the amenities in rooms. The interior decoration leaves atmosphere of Ryokan (traditional style accommodation) in the modern hotel. For guests' comfort the hotel also has modern technology; a self-service business centre with two personal computers and a copy machine, laundry machine, vending machines and massage chairs are available. A small work-out gym is located next to the lounge and it enables guests to have exercises, while looking at green plants on the terrace. (12/10 YT)
lobbyIt is small and high-ceiling with some sitting space. Large window brings view of Japanese garden and bright sunlight during day time.
exteriorIt is a modern, 15-storied white building with small Japanese garden, which is a symbol of the hotel and is taken for the hotel name "Niwa" (Garden) in Japanese.
restaurantThere are Western and Japanese restaurants on the ground floor. Both are facing to the Japanese traditional style courtyard garden. The grill and bar provides French dishes and fresh vegetables as one of the restaurant's feature. The Japanese restaurant offers Kaiseki style course meals and only on weekend it opens in the morning for Japanese breakfast.
roomsAll rooms are medium in size with decoration fully inspired by Japanese traditional design, material and tastes, such as paper sliding door, wooden poles and textile fabric. These items in guest room will reminds you that surely you are in Japan every moment during the stay. All are equipped with high speed internet access, an empty refrigerator, English Television programs (BBC and CNN) and a safety box enough large to contain a laptop computer. Bathrooms are medium in size and in good condition.
locationThe hotel is located in the heart of Tokyo, Suidobashi area, where many academic institutions, publishers as well as the Tokyo Dome baseball stadium are based. It takes 3 minutes by walk from East exit of JR Suidobashi station. From Suidobashi station, it directly connects to Shinjuku, Akihabara and Tokyo station via JR line. Within 1km distance from the hotel, there are some interesting spots for stroll such as Koishikawa Korakuen Garden (a traditional Japanese style garden), Kitanomaru Park (a part of Imperial Palace site) Jimbocho Second-hand bookshop street.
