generalThis hotel caters for both conference and leisure business, so the mix of clientele is wide. There are many facilities for those feeling active, there are two tennis courts, a 9 hole golf course and the property adjoins the Wairakei International golf course. There are two swimming pools, a sauna, massage treatment centre and the gym. For those wanting to explore the area the hotel is ideally located in order to enjoy the countryside around lake Taupo and the city of the same name . SE0111

exteriorA modern low rise hotel set on 165 acres of park-like grounds and more intimate gardens. Extensive use of glass to maximise the feel of open spaces and the views around the property.
restaurantThere are two restaurants the Pavilion restaurant and the more casual and relaxed atmosphere of Fairways cafe, which also has an outdoor dining area. Additionally there are three bars. Room service is available 24 hours a day.
roomsThe rooms are well equipped and nicely furnished. Deluxe rooms have two double beds. Plenty of space. Rooms have all the usual facilities such as mini-bar, tea/coffee facilities, air conditioning, direct dial telephones, iron and ironing board. All rooms are now non-smoking, hotel will charge guests a cleaning fee if they smoke inside room.
locationApproximately 9km from the town of Taupo and the lake of the same name the Wairakei Resort is located within the Wairakei thermal park. This is on State highway 1.
