generalAt the beginning of the 70s, the hotel was a source of wonder for our city?s inhabitants, due to the new building technology it incorporated. The structure?s architectural style is part of functional rationalism. With 164 welcoming and comfortable rooms, 3 restaurants featuring international and Romanian cuisine, a modern conference centre (oferring simultaneous translation, video and teleconferencing facilities via broadband internet), the Miami Terrace with its outdoor pool, the Lobby Bar, the new Continental beauty and body care Salon, the Galaxy Night Club, the Fitness and Body-Building Centre and the Valoro Casino, Timi?oara?s Continental Hotel is a veritable city within a city. In its immediate vicinity one can find the boutiques, cosy streets and wonderful old buildings of Union Square and Liberty Square. Step outside the hotel and taxies, trams and trolley-buses can take you anywhere on the city map.
