Ideally situated in the centre of town close to the main shopping area and overlooking the lake with views of the Borromean islands.
rooms
A small amount of the rooms are in very good condition with the remaining being in good condition as are the bathrooms. Decor varies but is traditional in the majority of rooms.
restaurant
The ground floor restaurant is again furnished in a traditional style with small hanging chandeliers and antique paintings.
exterior
The hotel is split in two buildings with the speranza painted in mustard yellow and the Milan in a deep burgundy. The architecture is typical of the seafront structures of Stresa.
lobby
The lobby is small in size with a tiled floor and oak wood reception area. It also incorporates a bar/seating area again furnished in dark wood.
general
This is a pleasant hotel, in a nice location near to the town and the lake. 0508 SR
