generalJozankei is a popular spa resort in Sapporo district. The Ryokan provides very good indoor and outdoor natural hot spring baths (shared) and is especially featuring one in outdoor called "Kagaribi-no-yu" which is huge outdoor natural hot spring bath and guests will enjoy it with view as it changes from season to season. It is a good choice to stop there to get away from stress and relax in natural surroundings. (01/09 YT)
lobbyThe lobby is large in size with sitting places, decorated in modern style.

restaurantThere is a restaurant on the 3rd floor where the daily hot buffet breakfast and dinner are provided. The restaurant features wide selection of dishes from Japanese, Chinese and Western cuisine. Coffee lounge, Karaoke Bar, Japanese style Izakaya bar and Japanese style private banquet for group travelers are available also.
roomsThe rooms are Japanese style only with no beds. By day, the rooms are furnished with a low table and zabuton floor cushions on Japanese straw tatami mats. By night, the room is transformed with Japanese futons into a sleeping area. There is also a sitting area with two armchairs and a coffee table. Each room at the ryokan has its own private bath and toilet.
locationThe traditional accommodation is situated in Jozankei, a hot spring resort area, which is about a one-hour car ride from Sapporo city centre. Due to the renowned healing effects of the natural hot spring waters, this area became famous and today attracts many domestic and international visitors. Sapporo Kokusai Ski area and Mt. Hakkenzan with its picturesque views of the ravine mountains are near-by. From Shin-Chitose Airport it takes about 35 minutes by train to JR Sapporo Station. From the station it takes 80 minutes by bus to Jozankei Shako Mae Bus Stop, and just a minute walk to the Ryokan.
