generalThe hotel is one of the grand dame old ladies of Singapore and is the flagship of the Shangri La chain. Their trademark is their award winning gardens and huge resort style pool. Truly one of the must stay hotels in the world. Complimentary shuttle bus service to Orchard Road is available between 1000 hours and 2000 hours.

lobbyThe lobby is huge with large Doric columns that line the perimeter. Large chandeliers supplement the already sufficient sunlight. The floor is in beige marble with seating areas for coffee and stairs leading upstairs for more lounging areas for afternoon tea.
exteriorThe hotel consists of three blocks that have been completely refurbished in 2000. The facade of windows and a roof top made up of curved roofs make up the distinctive Tower Wing. The Garden and Valley Wing are mostly obscured by the lush trees and vegetation that are the hallmarks of the Shangri La Singapore.
restaurantThe Line restaurant serving International cuisine in modern surroundings.
Shang Palace, the Cantonese restaurant offering a wide variety of exquisite Dim Sum and an extensive array of a la carte and set menus.
Fine California cuisine is served at the Blu, this restaurant has a breathtaking city view and is only open for dinner.

roomsRooms are large with lots of sunlight. The style is contemporary with subtle colors and understated class. Soft finishing and bathrooms in marble with quality fittings. Suffice to say that the Shangri La boasts of one of the nicest rooms in the city. All rooms are equipped with coffee/tea making facility, broadband internet access are available at a charge. The toilet has a long bath and a separate shower cubicle.
locationLocated just off the north end of Orchard Road in a quiet residential district, the hotel is still near enough by a five-minute walk to the shopping and entertainment district. A mere 15 minute taxi or shuttle bus ride to the central business district.
