The hotel is part of the Hotel 81 chain operating many economical and no frills properties in Singapore. These are decent and clean hotels in a more local part of town.

The lobby is very small but a little comically done in Renaissance style. A single counter manned by friendly staff.

Modern exterior with bright paint schemes of white and blue. The building fronts new Bridge Road, which demarcates Chinatown.

There is no restaurant in this hotel.

Run of house room is fitted with queen size bed or two single beds. As this is a basic hotel, amenities and furnishing are limited and consist of bed(s) with a small cupboard and coffee/tea and cable television facilities. However, quality and cleanliness are assured.

Located in the main traffic junction of Upper Cross Street and New Bridge Road, the hotel is within walking distance to many places of interest like Chinatown, the Singapore River, the central business district and the civic district. Also do not miss the historical park of Fort Canning.
