generalThe hotel has public hot spring bath both indoor and outdoor. Shimoda City is known as the port to which an American fleet, known as Kurofune (the Black Ships), entered in the 19th century demanding the establishment of trade with Japan. (07/08HT)
lobbyIt is on the 3rd floor and is small with some sitting space. There is a lounge at the end of lobby with panoramic view of ocean from the hill top.
exteriorIt is a modern, 6 storey white building on the top of hill located on the Simoda Coast.
restaurantThere are two restaurants from choices between French and Japanese cuisine. Guest can enjoy beautiful panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean at the lobby lounge.
roomsAll rooms are vary in size but large on average. All are simple decor and most of them are partial ocean view. All are equipped with an in-room safe, refrigerator and a television (local language program only). Internet access can be available in some room with fee and upon request in advance. Bathroom is medium and in good condition.
locationThe hotel is located on the coast of Shimoda, south-east end of Izu Peninsula. It takes 6 minutes by taxi from Izukyu Shimoda station on Izu Kyuko line that directly connects to JR line. It takes approximately 90 minutes by rapid train from Atami, one of the stations on bullet train (Tokaido Shinkansen). Also it takes 160 minutes from Tokyo by express train named "Odoriko" without making connections. The hotel provides free shuttle bus to / from Izukyu Shimoda station.
