generalThis is a welcoming hotel which offers high standard of accommodation in an appealing location.
lobbyAlthough the lobby area is small, the pine and pastel shades with which it is decorated emit a bright and airy atmosphere. There is limited seating in the adjacent hotel bar which also features a roaring log fire.
exteriorIt has been constructed using modern materials, although the design still retains a traditional look, being best described as chalet style in architecture.
restaurantThe restaurant is located on the ground floor just off the lobby. It is a large room decorated mainly in pink with rustic-style pine furniture. There is normally a large and sumptuous buffet.
roomsHotel bedrooms are medium sized, designed in typical modern Scandinavian style and are in good condition. Rooms to the rear of the hotel have balconies that overlook a scenic pineforest. Blue and light pine, bright curtains of northern lights colours, large picture frames.
locationThe Riekonlinna hotel stands in the centre of the tiny village of Saariselka, in a raised position offering lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
