The Distinction hotel (previously the Grand Tiara) is a good superior quality hotel with plenty of dining options and leisure facilities including an outdoor pool and a smaller children's pool as we all three private spa pools. It also offers a nightly, traditional 'Hangi' feast and Maori cultural performance including the famous 'Haka' War dance. SE1008

The lobby is medium in size with some seating.
exterior
The hotel is modern but architecturally built in a classical chateau style.
restaurant
There are two restaurants, the Caravel for a la carte dining and buffet and inside/outside dining is a feature of the Conservatory-style Pavilion restaurant.
rooms
The modern, well-appointed rooms are medium in size with twin queen size beds or King size and in a good condition. Bathrooms are a reasonable size and in good condition.
location
This hotel is a five minute drive to the city centre and is twenty minutes from the airport.
