Together with its strong involvement in ecotourism, Hacienda Guachipelin continues its traditional work of raising cattle and horses. For the adventurer, there are many activities in the lodge like horseback riding, the Canyon canopy tour, Rio Negro Tubing Adventure, bird watching, as well as trekking to the active craters of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.

From our restaurant La Hacienda you can enjoy the views of the Guanacaste lowlands, the city of Liberia, the Liberia International Airport and the coastal lines, or see the vaqueros working with the cattle in the fields. It opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Hacienda Guachipelin is a down-to-earth, yet comfortable hotel catering to nature lovers and adventure travelers. There are 52 rooms from where you can enjoy, during the day, the views of the volcano and the hacienda, and relax at night with the real sounds of nature. Outside, wide and inviting verandahs await for sharing afternoon chats with fellow travelers. The Standard Rooms are located near the Reception Area, the Swimming Pool and the Bar, and the Cattle Corrals. All the rooms have two beds, either two doubles or one double and one single. Each room has a safe deposit box, and a private bathroom with hot water heated by the sun on solar panels.
