generalThe Pollards Inn Hotel which is the main hotel building at Kwantu, also has a 24hr business centre for those wanting to catch up on work as well as a touch farm, herb garden, sporting facilities such as tennis courts and a cricket field, and an entertainment room nearby. On the reserve you can relax at the main lodge restaurant overlooking a watering hole and enjoy traditional African mouthwatering cuisine with a touch of spice. Luxury accommodation to suit your style is available in either the hotel named after Pollards INN or one of the 5 lodges. The reserve itself has rolling hills, attractive landscape and is home to the Big 5 as well as hundreds of birds and other South African wildlife. There is no malaria at the reserve and it is a very child friendly property.
lobbyA very welcoming lobby with its modern stylish furniture and large fire warming up guests on arrival in winter. Open plan the reception area leads through to the restaurant and is two storeys tall giving guests a good sense of space.
exteriorKwantu is spread out over several acres with the main reception area attached to the 5* Pollards Inn hotel. Existing buildings from Sidbury village, like the church, remain in tact from the 1820's and there is a large area put aside for farm land. The main lodge is a couple of hundred metres from reception.
restaurantThere are two excellent restaurants at Kwantu; one at the Pollards Inn 5* hotel in the main building which serves fine food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Buffet meals are included in the rates and are served in this modern and stylish restaurant. The second restaurant is located at the main lodge and serves equally good meals. This is more African in style and is served in a large boma style building with a large fire and lovely views of the reserve and a watering hole. Meals can also be ordered from Pollards Inn rooms or the lodge accommodation.
locationThe Private Game Reserve is located on the legendary Sidbury Plains, in the heart of Frontier Country, along the banks of the Bushman?s river - a mere hour?s drive from Nelson Mandela Bay Port Elizabeth and next to Addo Elephant Park.
