Independent Report
generalThis is an historically imortant property with a gret location in Odessa for the city and the harbour. The beaches can be reached by car and are about 15-20 minutes away. 0705AH
lobbyThe lobby is quite elegant and is evocative of its Soviet past. The ceilings are high and it is very ornate, but the beauty is a little faded. This does not detract from the overall impressive style nor from the sumptuousness and elegant atmosphere.
exteriorThe hotel is part of a classical terrace of buildings along the promenade. The imposing facade dominates with arched windows giving an impressive look to this historically important property.
restaurantThe restaurant is located on the ground floor close to the bar and reception area. It boasts a lavishly ornamented ceiling, four big crystal chandeliers, wall crystal lamps, decorative columns which discretely hide small dining booths and a stage.
roomsThe rooms are a good size, have high ceilings and have quite a faded elegance about them. The style is classical Soviet, with quite sumptuous bedding and comfortable furniture. The decor is quite plain, and the rooms would benefit from some cosmetic refurbishment.
locationThis property is located in central Odessa on the tree lined promenade overlooking the harbour. It is a few minutes' walk from the main shopping area, the city hall, the Opera House and the famous Potemkin Steps.
