The hotel is located off Fifth Avenue, in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, just two blocks from Grand Central Station.

Recently renovated in 2007, all unique guest rooms are in ultra-modern decor, featuring CD players, minibar and bathrobe. The bathrooms are small, but stylish, and creatively decorated. Guestrooms at the Royalton, A Morgans Original in New York feature flat-screen HD TVs, wireless Internet access, 300-thread-count cotton sheets, pillowtop mattresses, custom soaking tubs, and fresh flowers.

New American cuisine and a pre-theater menu are offered in Royalton, A Morgans Original's Brasserie 44. The leather-walled Bar 44--inspired by Ernest Hemingway's favorite bar in Paris--opens in the evenings.

This is a distinctive midtown hotel, built in 1898 and was completely renovated in 1989.

The hotel has a very discreet entrance leading into the reception area. At first glance, it appears to be a trendy bar/lounge as the reception desk is somewhat hidden.Inspired by 20th century Nairobi, the lobby features an eclectic mixture of original and vintage furniture; surfaces made from velvets, suede, and furs; and treated brass and aluminum. Just past the lobby, the legendary Round Bar, now known as Bar 44, offers an intimate setting with views extending from the entrance and lobby to the cream-toned leather walls of Brasserie 44, the latest eatery by John McDonald of the acclaimed Lever House
