The hotel has restaurants offering a menu with california cuisine and a nautical design and a dramatic waterfront setting. It has exotic woods, Polished brass, and authentic shipbuilding materials.

Rooms are medium sized, very plush, and feature decorator fabrics, classic biedermeier-style fyrniture, and european duvet bed coverings

The hotel is centrally located in cannery row, just 3 blocks away from Monterey bay aquarium. Fisherman's wharf and old town Monterey are both just a short walk away.
