The Steigenberger Mannheimerhof hotel is centrally located next to the famous rose garden and water tower.The shopping area and main train station is also within easy walking distance.
rooms
The rooms are very large and elegant and furnished in traditional, elegant, style in blue colour scheme and warm wooden furniture. Rooms and the bathrooms are in very good condition.
restaurant
In the main restaurant the ceiling and partly the walls are covered with light wood and the chairs are covered with green fabric. Again, an atmosphere of restrained opulence pervades.
exterior
It is a large grey stone building, typical of the solid German architecture of the early part of the century.
lobby
The very large lobby occupies most of the ground floor. There is comfortable seating with glass top tables all around the lobby. The walls are partly covered with wooden panelling, and other details like the chandeliers add to the opulent atmosphere.
general
Fantastic location, excellent and friendly staff, nice and warm atmosphere and the garden terrace makes this hotel a superb choice. 10/06lh
