The hotel has its own entrance to the GaiaPark Kerkrade Zoo(entrance fee not included) .Also on the area other interest places to visit: Discovery Centre Continium (science and technology) , the indoor ski and winter sports centre SnowWorld Landgraaf, World Gardens Mondo Verde (attractions, zoo, beautiful gardens and 'dinofauna'. During Christmas period it can be visited the Fairy Tale Forest of Valkenburg Near the hotel there are also 18 and 27-hole golf courses. The hotel offers the possibility to rent out bicycles to explore the beautiful surroundings.

The castle dates from the 14th century. Renovated by few of its owners over the centuries it is a beautiful stone building with 2 wings & encircled by a moat and a Baroque garden.

Breakfast is served at the conservatory, overlooking the inner courtyard. At the Brasserie clients can enjoy snacks and small meals, High Tea or Limburg pie that it is so typical from this area. The beautiful restaurant serves French & Mediterranean cuisine. Also at the inner courtyard food or drinks can be enjoyed with good weather.
