In all, this is a good quality northern Finnish hotel in an excellent location. RY0906

The lobby area is small, with the reception being a totally wooden welcome booth.
exterior
It is a modern structure, built using light cream stone.
restaurant
The hotel has facilities which are well used by locals and guests alike, most noticeably the anchor pub, which is a traditional nautical style ale house. The restaurant is a far more modern room, with a black gold leaf pattern carpet and simple pine tables and chairs.
rooms
The rooms are medium sized and kept in good condition. They are decorated with cream seating, light grey curtains and a beige patterned carpet. The feel of these rooms is quite bright and airy. The bathrooms are also in good condition.
location
The hotel Merihovi is situated in the centre of Kemi, just an easy walk from both the centre of town and the seashore.
