This is good value for money, although transport is required to and from the city centre. (08/06 JMG)
lobby
The large lobby is open and airy with a large bar and seating area to the right. The lobby opens out onto an atrium area with the restaurant and coffee shop below. The long marble reception is to the left of the main entrance.
exterior
This is a modern building in residential style, in keeping with the surrounding architecture. There is a small car park/coach drop-off point in front of the hotel.
restaurant
The main restaurant is fairly small and located on the basement floor around an attractive plant and flower arrangement. A selection of international cuisine is served, as well as some Turkish speciality dishes.
rooms
The medium-sized rooms are well decorated in a variety of colour schemes, mainly in brown and beige. The tiled bathrooms are kept in fairly good condition with light marble sinks.
location
The hotel is located in the Gayretepe business district, close to Taksim Square and cosmopolitan Istiklal Street. The Old Town is easily accessible by short taxi ride to discover the historical Sultanahmet Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Aya Sofia and the Grand Bazaar.
