The hotel is situated in its own grounds on the shores of Loch Ness. It is actually 7 miles from Inverness, but is a good alternative because of its beautiful location. The surrounding views have to be seen to be believed.
rooms
The hotel has 32 bedrooms. Facilities in the rooms include colour tv, tea/coffee making trays and telephones. The rooms are generally in good condition and are medium in size.
restaurant
The hotel's restaurant has a large seating capacity and provides good menu, with lots of local products available. The room is very light and has splendid views of the loch, as it is located at the front of the hotel.
exterior
This is a traditional, lodge like hotel and it is long and thin with a large car park at the front. The hotel is literally on the edge of Loch Ness with only a small area of grass separating them.
lobby
The hotel lobby is medium in size and is very welcoming and cosy. There is a small seating area and a reception desk and the decor is very traditional.
general
Overall the hotel is a great property for guest's looking for a hotel close to Inverness, but not right in the hustle of the Town center. As the reports says, the hotel is around 7 miles from town, but has fantastic views across Loch Ness. (KB 03/07)
