This is an excellent resort for families or those who want a quieter holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the northern part of Crete. The scenic drive from Heraklion airport will reward you with unforgettable images of rural Crete, and arriving at the majestic and warm Libyan sea will top it all ;-) The city of Ierapetra nearby has no shortage of sights such as the old town and castle and a nice range of shops, restaurants and bars.
