generalHafenCity is Europe's largest development project of the 21st century, reviving and reinventing Hamburg's old harbor quarter into a hub of urban life featuring restaurants, shops, and the world-class Herzog & de Meuron-designed Elbe Philharmonic Hall. In the midst of it all, the 25hours Hotel HafenCity, the first hotel development to open in this neighborhood. The hotel draws from the area's rich maritime history in a radical re-imagining of a traditional seamen's club, complete with 170 cabin-style suites, a rooftop sauna, Heimat restaurant, bar, art gallery, private wharf, and a conference room housed in a repurposed shipping container. For Christoph Hoffmann, CEO of the 25hours Hotel Company, design is an expression of the company's philosophy. Each hotel design is inspired by its location, thus each is organically distinctive.
restaurantAfter a long journey, you've finally arrived Home. The restaurant is the living room of the Uberseequartier and meeting place for hotel guests and neighbors. In the morning the hotel guests can count on a satisfying breakfast, during the day there's space for you to work, lunch just when you need it, and when it gets dark there are drinks and music. On your plate you will find artfully prepared, yet simple meals made of ingredients picked fresh from the region.
roomsThe guest rooms at 25hours Hotel HafenCity are comfortable retreats in various warm color combinations. 25 real and fictitious seafarers contributed their stories of raw customs, loose women and distant destinations to the design of the rooms and inspired the graphical wallpaper illustrations. You can read each story in the room's logbook. Also in every room: A pilot ladder from floor to ceiling and a custom made transoceanic trunk with everything you need in a cabin.
locationIt is directly on Hamburg Harbour, 200 metres from the Hamburg Maritime Museum. Me?berg Underground Station is a 12-minute walk from 25hours, providing connections to all parts of the city. Guests can enjoy concerts at the Elbe Philharmonic Hall, just a 5-minute walk away. The historic Old Town district is a 15-minute walk from the 25hours Hotel.
