The hotel is housed in an old convent which was founded by the Catholic Monarchs and is under official protection as a historic and artistic monument. It is also situated within the grounds of The Alhambra

Its bedrooms offer exceptional views of the Generalife, the Secano gardens and the Albaicin, while the classical furniture and numerous portraits mark the decoration of the interior rooms.

Under the coffered ceiling of the dinning room and in summer the freshness of the terrace typical traditional dishes are offered.

The building invites to discover a dreamlike interior, where Arabic and Christian styles mix. The access to the hotel for coaches is not possible. Due to distance from coach drop off to main entrance (800 metres) and to its uphill location.

The galleries with antique furniture and the comfortable reading rooms and lounges are tastefully decorated in a traditional Spanish style. There are lovely engravings from the Spanish romantic era and portraits and reproductions of El Greco.
