Situated next to the one of South Africa's best golf courses, George Golf Club, the King George is close to the city centre and to the roads leading to Oudsthoorn and other popular Garden Route destinations.

All of the rooms are en-suite and spacious and have satellite TV, air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities and a desk and chair.

There is a large restaurant serving good buffet lunch and dinner.

Dutch in style the hotel is split in to a series of blocks all painted white with green roofs. The buildings have courtyards with landscaped gardens and two have swimming pools in the centre of the courtyard.

A medium size bright and attractive lobby with high ceiling. The reception desk is to the left as you enter and a internet station is straight ahead. Outside the lobby entrance is a pleasant pond and water feature with coy carp
general
A good 4* hotel popular with travellers using George as a base for exploring the Garden Route. Also a great place to stay if you are a golf fan as it is next to a number of George's golf courses which are seen as the best in the country. The hotel also has conference facilities, a business centre and plenty of free parking. (AHJ05/09)
