The Swan hotel is situated in the heart of Grasmere. Grasmere is a pretty little village which owes most of its current popularity as a tourist attraction to the fact that it was the birth place of William Wordsworth It is an excellent base for touring the lake district and offers spectacular,panoramic views of the fells.

All the rooms are en suite and well appointed. All are decorated in a welcoming and traditional manner.
restaurant
The restaurant offers guests the chance to sample local Lakeland cuisine beneath the oak beamed ceiling. The Hotel also boasts a good size traditionally styled bar popular with guests and locals alike.
exterior
This was originally a coaching inn. It is a very quaint, traditional building with white walls and pretty window boxes.

The lobby is welcoming.
