generalOne of the most contemporary and stylish resorts to open in Sri Lanka, this property is a good choice for those looking for a more casually chic boutique property than large beach resort. lobbyKeeping with the resort's design, the lobby is open-air with a small reception desk and seating and leads off to the dining areas and pool to one side and the rooms to the other.
exteriorTo enter the property, one must first pass through the fortress walls guarded by an oversized wooden gate. Once inside, the property is a combination of Dutch, Portuguese and Sri Lanka architecture but all on the minimalist side with subtle features and clean lines. The resort is a low-rise structure designed around a garden courtyard facing the beach. The pool is located between the rooms and the beach.
restaurantThe main restaurant is located near the pool and offers both an international menu as well as Sri Lankan specialities. Another dining option is set in the Fortress gardens and features a wood-fired pizza oven. The property also has a trendy lounge, tea area and 24-hour private dining.
roomsRates are for Ocean Loft Rooms, perhaps the most unique rooms of the property.
