Medium in size, the lobby has a traditional, warm, welcoming feel. There are large sofas and information on the local area.

The Best Western Braid Hills Hotel is magnificently situated in own grounds with ample free parking, panoramic views across Edinburgh and beyond to the Firth of Forth and the hills of Fife. Although only 2 1/2 miles from the city centre, it boasts a secluded setting, far from the noise and congestion of the centre itself. Five golf courses within one mile of hotel. No lift. Luggage assistance available.

Traditional in design, the hotel has a very attractive, almost castle-like facade.
restaurant
The hotel has its own restaurant to the side of the lobby. Called The Allemuir, it serves international dishes as well as Scottish cuisine. The restaurant has great views across the hills.
