generalIdeally suited to guests looking for a traditional Irish hotel. This hotel offers modern standards of service within charming period surroundings, which can sometimes appear a little dated. PLEASE NOTE: The hotel is currently being partly refurbished (2 floors at a time). Work is carried out between 1030-1700hrs daily, until 30 June 2007. (BL 05/2006)
lobbyThe lobby is small but comfortable, and is located centrally within the building, with the bar to the left and restaurant to the right.
exteriorA traditional building in design, the hotel originally opened its doors in 1845. Externally, it has managed to retain much of its period charm and features, including its original wrought iron and glass frontage.
restaurantThe main restaurant is called The Peacock, which serves traditional British and European cuisine. It serves quality food that
is well-presented. A carvery lunch is served daily from 12 noon to 3 PM and a-la-carte dinner from 5.30 PM to 9.30 PM. To complement their meal, diners may choose from an extensive wine list.
roomsThe Hotel has 70 medium-sized rooms thatare traditionally furnished and of good quality. All rooms offer remote-control colour television, direct-dial telephone, hair dryers and trouser press. In addition, a 24-hour room service is available.
