Dating back to 1172 Clontarf Castle which is steeped in history has maintained its original structure, while incorporating an internal modern design scheme. On arrival guests enter the new atrium style lobby which is a fine example of merging of modern design with the Castle's original features.

The castle dates back to 1172, and the facade is very imposing and impressive.

The Knights Bar is a place of refinement - elegant and sophisticated, evoking a feeling of medieval romance; The Knights Bar is firmly rooted in the traditions of an ancient castle, while providing guests with 21st century standards and service. Indigo is the hotel's coffe bar, Serving "beautiful" coffee and pastries from eight in the morning, through to cafe style dining in the evening, this bohemian lounge with oversized sofas and mood lighting, radiates cool chic. The new Farenheit Grill is renowned as one of the finest in Dublin. It specialises in grilled meats and seafood and all produce is sourced locally.

The rooms are all medium in size and furnished to a very high standard. They are modern, but in keeping with the hotel's medieval theme, and have heavy curtains and dark wood. All have U.S spec electrical sockets.

The hotel is situated in Clontarf, a leafy coastal suburb of Dublin, two miles from the city centre and three miles from the airport. Clontarf Castle is an ideal location for both business or pleasure.
