lobbyThe medium sized lobby is very well furnished, comfortable and full of history with a lovely atrium with plush chairs and couches.
exteriorHeythrop Park was built in the early 18th Century and is steeped in history. Charles Talbot, the 12th Earl of Shrewsbury commissioned the architect Thomas Archer to create a magnificent house incorporating all the Roman influences Charles Talbot had grown so passionate about during his time in Rome. The exterior is thus one of its main attractions, with the stunning grounds leading up to the impressive main house. The modern annexes of previous years have been now gone and the Shrewsbury Wing that forms part of the original Manor House has been refurbished completely and features a lovely quad with manicured gardens.
restaurantThis hotel prides itself on offering the highest standards of hospitality and service. A wide variety of different dishes are offered, with special menus available on request.
roomsWith only 17 luxury bedrooms located in the main mansion, the remaining 137 are found in the Shrewsbury and Archer Wings which were built at the same time and in the same Baroque style as the house. They are located and linked on the left and right of the mansion. They have both been fully refurbished this year and provide simple contemporary en suite rooms with tea and coffee making facilties, trouser press, TV and direct dial telephone. These are excellent value rooms.
locationThe hotel is located in the heart of Oxfordshire on the eastern side of the Cotswolds, midway between London and Birmingham. The city of Oxford is just sixteen miles away.
