general
This is a decent hotel, clean and of a good standard. Set just outside the town centre. Ideal for guest wanting a retreat, but still very close to main attractions in Chester. MT-10/05

The public areas are very elegantly furnished, although small in size.
exterior
The building dates back to the 14th century. The beautiful period building has been restored and all extensions have been designed in keeping with the original hall.
restaurant
The restaurant offers a wide choice of cuisine served within elegant surroundings. The hotel has another outlet which has a more relaxed atmosphere where it is possible to enjoy a light snack or full meal.
rooms
All rooms have bath, shower, telephone, television, in house movies, trouser press, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The rooms are all spacious and comfortably decorated and furnished.
location
The hotel is located a mile outside the city centre. Set in five acres of landscaped gardens, the hotel was designed in the 18th century.
