The hotel also hosts a Scientific Museum promoting the future, and a planetarium illustrating the galaxy from where the hotel gets its name. This hotel is totally non-smoking in all rooms. (11/06 LC)

The lobby is small but very comfortable with an area of wicker furniture.
exterior
A very modern burgundy tile and glass complex.
restaurant
The main restaurant is a very nice Scottish bar, also popular with locals. Breakfast and lunch are served in the `galaxy`, a long glass covered atrium where palms are abundant.
rooms
Rooms are medium in size, with large beds. They are well kept and decorated with lots of dark wood furniture and bold coloured textiles. Bathrooms are in good condition.
location
The Quality Hotel Galaxen is located in the centre of Borlange, the industrial centre of Dalarna, 30 minutes from Lake Siljan.
