generalFacilities include a very large saltwater swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness centre that is the biggest in Bangkok, along with tennis courts and squash courts. There is also a jogging track which is on top of the MBK shopping centre. Tantara Spa is adjacent to the swimming pool, offering 10 treatment rooms and top-class cosmetic products such as Thalco or Decleor at attractive rates. lobbyThe hotel has an impressive lower lobby, with escalators that take you up to the more intimate reception area. The lobby is very large, with a chic and modern international design. Intelligent lighting with color effects and mix of textures, material and base colors in the fabrics and fittings create a bright and trendy style. There are exits from both lobbies into the MBK shopping centre on the second floor.
exteriorThe hotel is a modern rectangular glass high-rise building, beige in colour.
restaurantThe main restaurant, serving all-day dining, is in the lower lobby level A live kitchen and buffet in the center of the restaurant shows the cleanliness of the facilities. A live band is also available at the lobby bar. There is a Korean restaurant on the upper lobby level, which is popular with the local community. The Japanese restaurant offers an alternative option to the various restaurants around the area. The bakery on the ground floor also serves afternoon tea.
roomsAll rooms will be nonsmoking starting in April 2008. The hotel will provide a smoking room off the main lobby on the ground floor and a smoking zone in the open garden area on the 8th floor. All rooms are large and similar to one another, with light and airy colour schemes. The bathrooms are good. Superior, deluxe and family execuplus room choices are available. The deluxe rooms provide better amenities and are located on the higher floors. Deluxe rooms are a spacious 42 sq m, with private bathrooms equipped with bathrobes.
locationThe hotel is located adjacent to the popular Mah Boon Krong (MBK) shopping centre. The hotel is within walking distance of the Siam Discovery Centre, Siam Square and Siam Paragon, the newest and biggest department store in Southeast Asia.
