A cozy, small, simple traditional experience ryokan with indoor natural mineral hot spring baths (communal baths). (0207yy)

The lobby is small with a small reception but Japanese decor and pastel shades with some seating space.

The ryokan is a six floor grey concrete building.
restaurant
Meals are taken in either in the banquet room or in the rooms. The ryokan has a coffee lounge.
rooms
All rooms are typical Japanese style. There are no Western style rooms. All rooms have tatami mat flooring and shoji sliding paper doors, furnished in the traditional Japanese decor and no beds. By night, Japanese futons are laid out in the sleeping area. Although the rooms are equipped with en-suite toilet, there are no private baths or showers in the guestrooms as the ryokan has natural mineral hot spring communal baths which is available for guest's use.
location
The hotel is located in the center of Beppu Onsen, in the southern island in Japan, and just 7 minute walk away from Beppu JR station. Beppu is accessed about 35 minutes from Ohita Airport. A few minutes walk from the ryokan takes you to the commercial area with a lot of restaurants, bars, and shops.It has a prime location overlooking the lovely Beppu Bay and there is a pleasant footpath leading to the beach.
