Greg Norman designed the course to play like a British Open links course?firm and fast. It features half-inch fairway heights, stacked sod bunkers, coquina shell waste areas, and a complete absence of rough. The fairways are lined with pine straw and enhanced by native plant life and sparkling lakes. The 43,000-square-foot, Mediterranean-style clubhouse has a pro shop with golf and resort apparel for men and women, locker facilities, and a workout room. The Rick Smith Golf Academy offers personalized instruction and private video rooms.
