The lobby is of medium size and is decorated in traditional style with marble flooring and antique style furniture. This area also includes a comfortable lounge which is connected to the small bar.
exterior
The hotel has retained its historical features and has one of the most impressive entrances in Amsterdam.
restaurant
The "Cafe Roux", overseen by the world famous Albert Roux, is a brasserie style restaurant offering excellent cuisine at reasonable prices. There is also a lovely garden where one can have lunch and dinner or drinks, weather permitting.
rooms
The Grand 1 bedroom apartment offers superb 5 star luxury along with a spacious living room consisting of dining table, sofa, television and a fully equipped kitchen. The decor varies in colour scheme from rich purples to bluey greens but offer the highest luxury in bedding, furnishings, fixtures and fittings.
location
This hotel is located in the old part of Amsterdam overlooking the main canal and is just a short walk from the railway. It is a former 16th century Royal Inn and was the setting for the wedding of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.
